Rose in Honor of Life and Our Lady of Guadalupe

To honor Our Lady of Guadalupe, The Knights of Columbus Council #17519 express both international unity and dedication to the sanctity of human life.

The journey of the Silver Rose begins each year in March and ends on Dec. 12th, the Feast of Our Lady Guadalupe. During that time, Silver Roses travel from town to town along eight routes throughout North America. Several of those routes begin in Canada and end in Mexico.

It is to the Blessed Mother that we turn in prayer as we work to end the Culture of Death that grips our society. As we think in terms of “One Life, One Rose,” it is most appropriate that we turn to Our Lady of Guadalupe who made known her will through Juan Diego and the miracle of the roses.”

This year the Knights of Columbus will have the honor to share the Silver Rose with Mercy Parish on Monday, September 7, 2026, Labor Day. We will begin our support for Human Life with:

• A brief informational video at 8:45 a.m.

• An Adoration and Rosary from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

• A Benediction at the closing.

We understand this is a holiday, but please make plans to spend one hour with our Lord as we join in meditation and prayer for human life.
